CEO of Florens Institute, PhD in the Ethics and Economics of Human Longevity
Raiany Romanni-Klein is the founder and CEO of the Florens Institute, a new 501(c)(3) organisation designed to streamline, quantify and inspire progress in frontier science, with an initial focus on aging biology.
She holds the world's first PhD in the Ethics and Economics of Human Longevity - a programme she designed herself, completed under George Church, Oded Galor and Steven Pinker at Harvard/Brown. She was previously based at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, and is now a Scholar-in-Residence at the American Federation for Aging Research.
She helped design and launch the $101M Healthspan XPRIZE, and is the author of the forthcoming book Redesigning Aging: The Ethics and Economics of Human Longevity (Harvard University Press). Her research has appeared or is forthcoming in The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Quillette, Forbes, ABC and Bloomberg.
