Damian Parol

PhD in Health Sciences, dietitian, powerlifter

A dietitian, psychodietitian, and PhD in Health Sciences. He graduated in Dietetics from Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and completed his postgraduate studies in Psychodietetics at SWPS University. In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation with honors at the Medical University of Warsaw under the supervision of Prof. Artur Mamcarz. His PhD research focused on the impact of a vegan diet on the performance of long-distance runners.

As an academic lecturer, he has collaborated with the Medical University of Warsaw, the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, and SWPS University. He is a co-founder of the Polish Society of Lifestyle Medicine and an advocate of lifestyle-based interventions as a key component in the prevention and management of chronic diseases.

Professionally, he specializes in dietetics, nutritional education, and science communication based on evidence-based medicine (EBM). He works with athletes—ranging from dedicated amateurs to Olympic-level competitors. He is also a competitive classic powerlifter.

He has co-authored academic textbook chapters and scientific publications in the fields of dietetics, lifestyle medicine, and sports nutrition. He is active on social media, where he shares evidence-based content, making complex dietary topics accessible to a broad audience.
